Erica Wright, 17, from Narragansett, Rhode Island is the daughter of Thomas and Rita Wright and younger sister of Alexandria, who is currently a student at Bryant University. Erica’s family has been a consistent source of direction and encouragement in her life. With perseverance and commitment, her dreams are becoming reality.

A well-accomplished student at LaSalle Academy in Providence, Rhode Island, Erica was nominated by her teachers to participate in “The National Young Leadership Conference” to be held in Washington, DC.  Apart from her academics, Erica has been playing basketball for over 11 years. Her other interests include golfing, cooking, and surfing, and she enjoys traveling to various countries and islands to pursue her love for adventure.  Erica reveals her creativity through painting, fashion, interior design, and modeling.

Erica wants to emphasize how important it is for everyone to pursue their goals and look beyond their current challenges. She believes in welcoming diverse opinions and remaining positive in every situation.

During the competition for the title of Miss Rhode Island Teen USA 2010, Erica strived to impress the judges with her sincerity, integrity, and her outgoing personality. Her dedication to volunteering and giving back to her community is a shining example of her compassion towards others.

Erica is proudly looking forward to representing her state with the honor of being Miss Rhode Island Teen USA 2010 and competing at the 2010 Miss Teen USA pageant in the summer.
